Target

Conduct technical analysis and program work to update the Drupal CMS core and contributor modules, perform work to improve the site's usability, connect and configure the internal search of Apache Solr.

Project work process

Kombolift company was founded in 2008, it is engaged in maintenance of elevators and escalators, supply of spare parts and repair of electronic equipment. The company is a confident leader in the supply of spare parts and maintenance of high-speed elevators.

In the process of supporting the project, a large-scale work was carried out to update the core and additional modules of the site, the load on the server was optimized, and security problems were identified and eliminated. After the analysis of behavioral factors, the usability elements, filtering blocks, pagination and the proportions of the site elements were finalized, auto-responses for electronic notifications were configured.

For internal catalog search, Apache Solr search morphological search was connected and configured with the following parameters:

  2. Search taking into account various declinations
  3. Search based on ignoring punctuation marks
  4. Auto hints
  5. Working with synonyms and stop words
